On this fourth and final Sunday of the Advent season, we take a closer look at Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus. For those of us tempted to believe the Christmas season has little to offer people who are hurting, confused, feeling lost or hopeless, Joseph’s story suggests otherwise. He knew what it meant to watch his world fall apart. But God would come to meet Joseph in the middle of the mess so that a miracle might be birthed out of our broken humanity. How may we prepare room in our hearts to receive God’s Love through the story of Joseph?
