Mark 10:46-52 (CEV)
In Mark 10, we see the story of a blind man named Bartimaeus who teaches us the importance of having a deep and sincere desire for something holy. Bartimaeus had been blind for a long time and may have grown accustomed to the situation. He could have accepted his life as it was and not sought anything more. However, when he heard that Jesus was coming, a sense of desperation rose within him. He believed that Jesus could offer him something greater, so he cried out for help. He kept crying out until Jesus stopped, called him to Himself, and opened his eyes.
