Series: Raised to Life
Joy in the Mourning

Habakkuk 3:17-18
Being Raised to Life in Christ does not mean we are exempt from suffering, but that we no longer endure it alone. Through Habakkuk’s honest cries and ultimate declaration of faith, we were reminded that while we often long to understand why we suffer, what we need most is to know Who God is in the midst of it. As Brooke shared, “Knowing the why behind your suffering will not sustain you, only the Who.” Even when grief, silence, or pain make it difficult to see clearly, God’s presence remains constant and trustworthy. True joy is not found in the absence of suffering, but in the presence of Emmanuel—God with us—who promises never to abandon us and who works through even our deepest mourning to draw us closer to Himself.
