Paul begins Chapter 2 by providing a post-mortem report of our old lives. Lives that were guided and ultimately destroyed by the pursuit of our personal desires and willful sins in the world. But God’s mercy saved/rescued us from the power of the fallen prince of the air who once ruled over us. We now live by God’s grace seated with Christ in the Father’s kingdom.
