Peace Has Arrived!
December 28, 2025 |
Luke 2:8–20 (NLT)
On this First Sunday of Christmas, we hear once again the announcement of Christ’s birth to a group of ordinary shepherds —the unlikely recipients of the greatest news the world has ever known. Through them, God declares that true Peace has come, not as an idea or a circumstance, but as a Person: Jesus. This Peace is meant to shape not only what we believe, but how we live. As we step into a new year, we are reminded that those who belong to Jesus are called to be people of His Peace — living in such a way that our lives echo the shepherds’ declaration: “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those on whom His favor rests.”
