Series: Kingdom Come
When Prayer Replaces Control
November 16, 2025 |
Matthew 7:6-11 (NIV)
In this section of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus invites us to examine where we spend our time and energy: striving to stay in control, or turning to the Father in persistent prayer. Rather than forcing the Kingdom into places it isn’t welcome, Jesus calls us to a life shaped by trust—one where prayer changes our hearts, moves things in ways we cannot, and deepens our intimacy with God. When prayer becomes our first response instead of our last resort, we discover that God is already at work, doing far more than we could ask or imagine.
