“Into The Wilderness”

Matthew 4:1-11
As we begin our journey into the liturgical season of Lent, what does it mean to be led by the Spirit into the Wilderness? While we may not be led into the literal desert like the people of Israel or Jesus Christ, surely we will be led into seasons of spiritual Wilderness as people of God. How does Jesus’ example demonstrate for us how we might engage temptation in the Wilderness, especially when the tempter seeks to question both who we are, and whose we are?
