There are certain passages in the Bible that are very hard to understand and accept. Paul’s words concerning the relationship between slaves and masters would definitely fit into that category. Our personal and collective experiences with the issue of slavery in America is both complex and unresolved. As Christians, we must have a very clear understanding of God’s view of this human failure and our response as believers.
