A good relationship requires good communication, and God has given the spiritual gifts of prophecy and discernment to the Church for this very reason. Like two sides of the same coin, prophecy and discernment help build up the Body of Christ by helping ensure the Word of God is communicated clearly and truthfully so we may grow in spiritual maturity in our relationships with God and each other.
