Ephesians 4:1-16 (NLT)
Unity is the theme of the fourth chapter of Ephesians. Paul pleads with the believers in Ephesus to make every effort to live at peace with one another. He even says to make allowances for each other’s faults because of love. Paul reminds the Church that there is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one Father of all. He also takes great care to remind us that our unity is not uniformity. Each believer has receive a special gift that is to be used to help the body to become whole, healthy, and full of love. It is in the Church where we are equipped, trained, and empowered to do the work of the Kingdom.
